Field mint contains the highest menthol content of all mints at around 80%. The largest growing areas are in China and Japan. The common trade name China oil reflects this.
Due to the high menthol content, it has a high "cold effect". Field mint stimulates the ability to concentrate and stimulates the digestive organs. Many appreciate the effect on the airways and the feeling of being able to breathe more freely. Field mint is also said to have a blood pressure-increasing effect.
Corpemint should not be used during pregnancy, in children under the age of 6, in the case of heart disease or as a bath additive.
