The essential oil Ylang Ylang is extracted from a bottle tree plant Annonaceae . Ylyng Ylang extra is only obtained from the flowers, while Ylang Ylang is obtained from flowers and leaves together.
In Indonesia, ylang flowers are considered a symbol of sensuality and joie de vivre. The scent of ylang is sweet, sensual and flowery and also forms the basis for the well-known perfume Chanel No.5.
Ylang Ylang has a sedative effect, is antidiabetic, spasmolytic and analgesic.
